The ‘Something’ singer has a soft spot in his heart, according to the comic actor, whose real name is Kweku Asante, and he would not hesitate to marry her if given the chance.
This was revealed by Kalybos during an interview with Okyeame Quophi on Accra-based Angel FM. When asked about his celebrity crushes, Kalybos revealed that there are about 16 other stunning celebrities he could have married, but Gyakie is at the top of his list.
“I admire 16 celebrities… But if I could marry Gyakie, I would. “[Not Jackie Appiah], Gyakie, the musician,” the Ghanaian actor said on Angel FM. However, it is unclear whether Kalybos is serious because the Ghanaian comedian also stated that he is dating Yvonne Okoro in his head.
Kalybos has been in the Ghanaian film industry since his skits with Ahoufe Patri went viral. Kofi Asamoah’s short films launched the Ghanaian actor into the spotlight in 2012.
Though little is known about her personal life, comedian Jacinta Ocansey revealed that she had a crush on Kalybos. She confirmed in August 2021 that their fling was only temporary because the actor is a cheat.
According to Jacinta, Kalybos proposed to her and she accepted, only to be rejected later. She first denied the rumors in an interview with Ghanaian blogger Sammy Kay, saying, “We didn’t date.” We almost dated, but it didn’t work out.”
“We didn’t date to clear some misconceptions, and because this question comes up frequently.” She then admitted that Kalybos had told her he was done with his ex-girlfriend, but she wasn’t going down without a fight.
Jacinta claimed that while hanging out with Kalybos, she and his ex-girlfriend were attacked. Surprisingly, Kalybos told his ex that Jacinta was the one who was after him. “However, it’s natural for a man to approach a woman he likes when he sees her.” “But, I expect you to be open and honest with me about your relationship or situation,” she said.
“But when you see me and tell me you like me and that ‘oh, you were with somebody and you’ve broken up with the person and the person is not taking no for an answer and the person sees that you and I are somewhere and the person comes to attack us and then you tell the person that I’m rather chasing you,” she said.
Kalybos, on the other hand, has never responded to these allegations.
