On part of our Documentary, we highlight and unveil the various people we came into contact with whom we have confirmed, are important players in the bed selling cabal.
As explained previously, the advertisers main role is to use her credibility to advertise and attract potential victims to the scam. Our checks indicate that she is an official of the SRC serving in the role as committee head. Adriana Afriyie Bawuah is a level 400 student of the Dr.Hilla Limann Hall who run for JCR President in the 2022/2023 academic year. She later contested for Speaker of the SRC Legislature (General Assembly) but lost again.
Our preliminary checks indicate that, as an officer of the SRC whom has had her fair share of exposure in the University through her involvement in student leadership she lures unsuspecting victims to believe she has people who can a student secure accommodation in some selected halls.
Our first encounter with The Advertiser started when she posted the popular marketing phrase “Bed Available, DM for Business. Serious Buyers Only” on a shared platform. Our team decided to engage her to see how a student could have a bed bed available while students were complaining of lack of accommodation.
Engagements with Adriana were relatively shorter due to her specific role being played in the cabal which is the advertisement of the scam.
Adriana is one of the many advertisers of many other scams that have, for a long time, duped students and long perpetrated the illegality of bed selling and unauthorized allocation of beds to students through unapproved routes.
